To a big surprise of most people, after several days' talking about Windows Phone 7 OS which expected to come out by the end of this year, Microsoft just launch a new line of mobile phone called Kin (Kin One and Kin Two) without using the previously considered Windows Phone 7 OS but somewhat called Silverlight-based platform specially designed for Kin.

The new line Windows Phones Kin One and Kin Two are actually a new kind of social phone targeted at social networking for young people between 15 and 30 and who are actively navigating their social lives. "We built Kin for people who like to be connected, share, express and relate to their friends and family. This social generation wants and needs more from their phone. Kin is the one place to get the stuff you like you care about to the people you care about." Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft explained.

New features of the new social phone: Kin One and Kin Two

The Kin series Kin One and Kin Two are featured by three outstanding functions named The Loop, The Spot and Kin Studio.

The Loop: The home screen in the Kin interface, is an aggregation of all of your social media updates from across your favorite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

The Spot: Spot is an omni-present green dot at the bottom of the KIN screen. Spot makes it easy to share information from just about anywhere in the interface.

Kin Studio: It is a cloud-based interface, which shows you a timeline of everything you've nabbed with your phone. Kin depends entirely on the cloud to retrieve all of your social updates and store all of your social content.

Reasons for converting common video and audio files to Kin

As Microsoft states, Kin is Zune powered, which means the video or audio files played by Zune can be and can only be played by Kin. And according to the Wikipedia, the common video and audio files accepted by Zune are MPEG-4 (MP4, M4V), H.264, WMV, MP3, AAC (M4A) etc.

Therefore, in order to make full use of your various video or audio files and give full play to your Kin, the most effective way as I know is to convert your video or audio files to proper formats supported by Kin.

Kin video converter for Mac is the specially created application who Kin phone users who are confused of enjoying their favourite video or audio on their newly bought Kin phones. It can assist you converting almost all popular video or audio files like AVI, WMV, MPG, MKV, MOV, 3GP, FLV, RM, MP3, AAC, AC3, AIFF, WMA, WAV etc to Kin phone (Kin One and Kin Two) accepted file formats and to other common file formats as well.

Mac Kin video converter is also an excellent video editing application that helps you make your own editing. With it, you can set the proper aspect ratio and output parameters for video and audio separately that fit for your Kin phone. Besides, video merging, video splitting, and video effect are also available.
